The story of the 13th green at the Quail Run Golf Course is not unheard of in Naples. The 13th green lies next to Turtle Lake. The lake is part of the greater Naples’ water management system and connects to an ecologically important network of waterways.Turtles, ducks, big mouth bass and alligators all live happily in Turtle Lake. 

However the golfers approaching the 13th hole are often surprised to find an alligator hauled out sunbathing next to the green. A real water hazard! Then the 13th is played unusually fast…no chit chat on this hole!

The golfers are said to be “lucky” if they finish the 13th hole unscathed.
